TF-CBT (Trauma-focussed Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)

Above three are fundamental stages for trauma treatment. In TF-CBT therapist try to incorporate trauma focussed individualized treatment plan with the CBT techniques. TF-CBT is suggested to be very beneficial for adults as well as children who have experiences traumatic events in their lives. TF-CBT also includes psychoeducation, parenting skills (when child is suffering from trauma), management of feelings and emotions, relaxation, cognitive coping, stress regulation, preparing safety plan and future developments. TF-CBT is also reported to be effective treatment for PTSD, depression, anxiety, feelings of shame and guilt (in traumatized children and adults), sexualized behaviours (due to traumatic event) and externalizing behaviour.
