As name indicates this therapy is brief and goal-oriented. It focus on present and future. Solution Focussed Brief Therapy therapist work with the client to help them envision practical goals and concrete path to achieve those goals. The client is encouraged to think over exceptional situations in past when they were close to their best behaviour or desired goals. With the help of structured set of questions the client is motivated to how those positive and useful behaviours and actions can be repeated and tried now even though circumstances are not as ideal as before.
